Education & Qualifications

Graduated with honours in Economics and Business from the University of Bologna. Admitted to the Association of Chartered Accountants (Ordine dei dottori commercialisti e degli esperti contabili) in Bologna since 1983 and as a Statutory Auditor since 1995.

He is also registered with the Register of Court-Appointed Expert Witnesses of the Court of Bologna, the List of Experts for the Negotiated Composition of Business Crisis (Composizione Negoziata) and the Register of professionals eligible for appointments by the Judicial Authority to perform management and supervisory functions in insolvency proceedings.

Areas of Practice

Dr. Piero Aicardi founded the Firm in 1983. His practice focuses primarily on business distress solutions (corporate recovery, turnaround, negotiated compositions, debt restructuring agreements), insolvency proceedings and court-appointed expert assignments, as well as strategic business advisory and extraordinary transactions. He is a lecturer and speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on business restructuring and insolvency, and the author of several publications.

Professional & Institutional Mandates

For over 30 years, he has regularly served as Statutory Auditor and Board Director of various industrial, real estate and financial companies, including as Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the National Council of Chartered Accountants for Negotiated Composition, which drafted the Standards of Conduct for the Expert. He has served as Chairman of the Study Committee of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Bologna on Concordato Preventivo and other business crisis resolution instruments.
